Hi, my name is Layne Taylor Ryan. I am due Feb 5, 2003. The doctors say everything looks good. I'm very excited to be one of Max's first friends. Although my daddy may not let me see him much cause I'm not allowed to see boys.

Gracie was born February 23rd, weighing 7 lbs, 2 oz. Congratulations Chris and Kari!
I got sick on our crossmind youth mission trip to Mexico, and I wondered if I might be pregnant. When we got back home, it was confirmed that we were 6 weeks along. Everyone said to expect a boy, because of the way the baby moved and is so active, but we found at 21 weeks that our baby is a healthy, energetic little girl. (Chris and I both kind of wanted a girl, but would've been happy with a healthy baby, either way.) Gracie is due on Valentine's day, just a few weeks after Max! (We'll have to make sure they hang out together while their daddies do computer things!) She is the first grandchild on both sides of the family, plus she's the official "crossmind baby" and the next great "First Church baby" so we are all eagerly anticipating her arrival. She will be spoiled, no doubt, but nothing is too good for our little princess!

HEY MAAAAXXXXX!
Looks like I will be your first buddy that is a guy!! We are going to be quite the stud muffin's don't you think??? Those people sure took a long look at me yesterday. Mama and Daddy were so proud that I made such a grand appearance. I weigh about 11 oz. right now. Mom drank a lime slush like Stephanie told her to and boy did it make me wiggle! Daddy could see me open my mouth and eyes. I am amazing him already. It can't be this easy Max. I think we already have them wrapped around our fingers! Can't wait to see you in March! Mommy is hoping that I will make my grand appearance around March 19, 2003 and not a day later! I am glad that you will be around a few months before me so that I can get a few pointers from you.

Emma Isabella Simonich
Well it is official our little baby is a little girl. We are so happy. She is moving right along and is to-the-day right where she needs to be measurement wise.
Of course now that Max is here, the excitement of Emma's arrival
becomes more intense.
I hope that Max is looking forward to another girl to play with, seems
like there are a lot on the way! Of course with as cute as he is, girls won't be an issue!
Baby Cantrell -
Baby Cantrell is due July 16th to Aaron and Scharon Cantrell. We won't know the gender of Baby Cantrell until he or she arrives in July, but either way, Max will still be his/her friend!

Ashley was born December 11th, 2002, at 6:49 a.m. She weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20 inches long. Everyone is doing well and so happy that she is here.

Cathryn Rachel Gutteridge, a.k.a. "Cate"
Cathryn Rachel Gutteridge, a.k.a. "Cate", was born August 27th,
2002, at 4:30 p.m. She weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces and was 19 inches long. She
gets her name from several places: Cate comes from Cate Blanchett, when her
parents went to see the movie "Elizabeth", saw the actress' name and
how she spelled it and said, "If we ever have a girl, that would be a cute
name!" They extended it to Cathryn, meaning "pure", and added
Rachel, which is her mother's maiden name. Big brother John Caleb adores her
(though we're having to teach him to "gently" swing her in her baby
swing), as do mom and dad. We hope she'll be in the arts in some form or another,
or will make a lot of money doing something else! We, of course, pray that whatever
she does in life, she will do it for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Payton Rian Shears
Payton Rian Shears was born on June 7th at 6:35 a.m. She weighed 6lbs 12oz.
and was 21 inches long. She is now 4 months old, weighes 15lbs, and is 26
inches long. Payton has yet to meet her cousin Jamie and is really excited
to meet her new cousin Max. Payton and I have already been shopping for Max
a perfect outfit. Cant wait to meet you!
Carley Davenport
My name is Carley Davenport. I am now 7 months old. I have big, bright blue eyes and I LOVE to smile. I love to sit and watch what is going on around me. I am also talking a lot and telling mommy and daddy "all about it". I'm not crawling yet, but watch out when I do! I will be into everything. I'm already quite mischievous. I am really excited for Max to get here. I'm sure that Jamie and Steph are ready too. Not too much longer!
